FANTASY FOOTBALL 2012

2012 Fantasy Football Draft Guide Released

The 2012 Fantasy Football Metrics Draft Guide and Cheat Sheet.

OK, we're off and running on the 2012 Draft Guide. You can access the order page from our home page, on the tab "Draft Guide and Cheat Sheets" or you can simply click here to go straight to it: Fantasy Football Metrics - 2012 Draft Guide | Cheat Cheat - Unique and Intelligent Stats, Rankings, Projections, and Draft Board.

Some points to consider before ordering:

  • There is currently a little under 500 players projected with a 1-2+ paragraphs on each player, including their projected traditional and PPR points per game projections in our system. We have 450+ QB-RB-WR-TE and all 32 team-defenses scouted and projected. There are no Kicker projections in Version 1.0.

  • The Kicker commentaries and projections will be added in the next update (on or before 7/1/12).

  • Just to be clear -- We do not have any IDP analysis. That is a hope/project for 2013.

  • You can purchase just the Cheat Sheets alone, but if your purchase the Draft Guide you do NOT need to also order Cheat Sheets separately/additionally -- they are included in your one price with the Draft Guide.

  • This is Version 1.0 -- When you purchase the Draft Guide and/or Cheat Sheets, we will update this draft guide constantly with changing news, injuries, trades. Your one-time purchase entitles you to all updates up to opening day. We post alerts on our Blog area when any Draft Guide/Cheat Sheet update is completed. We also denote which players changed with a "+" or "--" notation.

  • We have another 50+ players who will be added to the Draft Guide in the next 1-2 weeks. We will likely have 600+ players scouted, projected, and with commentary by the end of July. Most Fantasy Football Drafts involve 120-200 players, so the other 400+ extra players we scouted/report on may seem like overkill, but we also intend for this to be a guide to be referenced during the entire 2012 (or 2013+) season -- when lesser-known player names start to heat up, and injuries happen, etc.

  • We do not have one overall ranking comparing all players in an order/ranking. Our main goal is to evaluate and compare each position, in and of itself, and you will know better your league owner's tendencies/history on what you should take when. Our statistically ranked overall top 10-20-100-200 advice would change with a 10 or 12 or more team league, various scoring systems, yardage bonuses, flex or no flex, what number in the draft we were drafting at, etc. In general, we statistically believe in an elite (top 3-4 QB or top 2 TE) QB-TE or TE-QB in the first two picks in every situation and after that we start looking at best available and staying fluid from there.

  • Note we do have some players in our system with fractional games played in 2011, so the per game stats we provide can look different than what you're used to. We also look at Weeks 1-16 only. We do not consider Week-17 in 2011 data or looking forward to our 2012 Fantasy scoring projections. We hold to our firm belief that these Week-17 games are not good indicators of actual abilities/results.

  • We think we have caught all the major typos, or bugs...but if anyone sees an odd ball/major gaffe item, please feel free to email in so we can fix.

Thank you for all your support the past few years, and in 2012 as well. Good Luck in the upcoming Fantasy Football Drafts. The draft is half the battle. We're going to be here all preseason and post-season to try to give you any edge we can...or die trying. We really appreciate all the support! Thanks

What makes our Draft Guides Unique?

For a Full Explanation, go to:  Fantasy Football 2012 - Draft Guide and Cheat Sheet

  • "Ever-Refreshing data" for the entire preseason. It's not like a magazine written 30-60 days ago, with stale/out-of-date information by the time you get it. We update the Draft Guide's info as player situations change, via trade, release, injury, training camp scouting we conduct, or info we hear from training camps sources, etc. We then update a particular player and/or all the players affected by the change. We'll post a list of what players have been updated for your convenience on our website, as changes are made.

2010 Fantasy Football Draft Guide

  • Instant Download.  Free Updates.  Your download link will work right up to the NFL season start.  So you can come in and download our most current version of the draft guide and cheat sheet at any time, as many times as you want.

  • Fantasy Football Metrics is a concept designed around the "Moneyball" philosophy; the idea of studying and developing Metrics to uncover hidden value and opportunity in putting a Fantasy Football team together. If you want to hear that all the top players from last year, are magically the best for this year too...you won't enjoy our analysis.

  • We are an alternative to the media-hype, highlights, and "group think" of Fantasy Football. We are businessman and statisticians (and passionate Fantasy/Football fans) coming together to find a mathematical/statistical edge within Fantasy Football. No silly testimonials on how everyone here, and every client we have, has won every league they've even been in. We are looking for an alternative edge that is more often right than wrong, and which pushes the odds in our favor.

Information on all of these issues, and much more, are included in our Draft Guide "The Big Board". Over 400+ Fantasy Football player profiles and analysis, with individual player schedules, ranked by projected previous-year Points Per Game by player, previous year stats by player, and more.

About Fantasy Football Metrics

Unique opinions and statistics; in depth charts, player scouting reports, and draft cheat sheets for Fantasy Football.

We are a unique group focused on combining a new wave of original statistical analysis and trending, combined with game scouting merged with today's headlines. Our focus is on pre-season player news, a Fantasy Football Draft Guide and Cheat Sheet, and weekly projections and player rankings; all flavored with our "moneyball-inspired metrics, and fresh (never canned) commentary.

We are business owners and managers, amateur statisticians, and football junkies all rolled into one. Researching and managing this game like a business, and having a blast doing it.

We are on a quest to look for the statistical and/or "inside" edge on everything Fantasy Football.

We are tired of the same exact "parroted" analysis over & over on every website and in every magazine....we strive for true independent analysis, and all original (often controversial) content.

We are NOT going to guarantee success at every turn, with silly testimonials on how people that have used our research and have won their league for a hundred years in a row (although we do quite well). We are trying to bring a statistical edge to improve OUR OWN pre-season drafts, and in-season management (sit/start, drop/add, trade for/away). If you enjoy and/or can benefit from our research (and we think you will), even better.

Every point, every edge matters in life, in business, and in Fantasy Football. We are constantly searching for that statistical edge....

Our New College Football Scouting Website

After many final tweaks, we have opened our new college football prospect scouting website to the public!

College Football Metrics.com is a simple website that will store all of our 2012 NFL Draft statistical ratings for the prospects in this draft class, as well as detailed long-form report-outs on all the prospects that our computer formulas are keying on in its analysis and modeling. Our new site is a subscription-based access, and all of our 2012 NFL Draft scouting reports/information will be "in storage" on the site for all of 2012...for your research and review at any time post-draft/mid-season etc.

We rank players based on a computer formula/algorithm for each position based on all the historical data that we have, and formulas that we have devised. We take a Moneyball approach to the scouting process...scouting players heavily by data -- physical measureables, college output, historical modeling. Instead of a long-winded explanation on what our reports are all about, the best example we can give of the work that we do is...

Fantasy Football Research -- Keeping it Free

One way we "keep the lights on" is through the sale of our Draft Guide and Cheat Sheet; but the window of opportunity is very small - the draft season is a blip on the calendar.

As you can see we offer most of our work for free; we are trying to produce as much new and unique/interesting content as we can, as fast as we can.
If you enjoy our free research articles and data, you can help support us for FREE; through a new partnership that we have with Amazon.com.

If you already shop at Amazon.com, all we ask is that you "click through" our website banner for Amazon.com (BELOW) to get there...and then we will receive a small credit and percentage of every sale generated from that click through from our website.

We're not asking you to buy anything specific.. We only ask if you are going to buy something from Amazon anyway...that you would please use our link to get there.

Just click the banner below then bookmark that page in your favorites, rename it "Amazon" if you wish.
