Fantasy Football Metrics -- Upcoming Research

Hopefully, there are about 4 months until the NFL/Fantasy football season starts...and less than that until preseason camps and games begin. Now that the NFL Draft is over, attention turns toward the impact these drafted players are going to have on their teams and the outlook in general for all NFL teams in 2011.

Items of research and analysis upcoming, of interest to Fantasy Football fans and non-Fantasy Football fans:

STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE ANALYSIS

  • We will be taking a unique mathematical look at the "Strength of Schedule" (not the standard definition of SOS, which is just using last year's record) for each team, and looking at the projected impact it will have on player performances in 2011

  • Our analysis looks at roster make up, possible weather implications, field surface impacts, travel impact, historical trends, etc

MORE 2011 DRAFTED INDIVIDUAL PLAYER REPORTS

  • Even though the NFL Draft is over, there are plenty of players to research deeper -- to find possible "hidden gems" or discuss potential higher selected players that might "bust"

  • Discuss the impact that incoming players might have on higher profile current player performances

  • Statistical analysis of TE's will be released soon as well

  • Testing statistical analysis of CBs currently, if we hit upon something predictive -- we will report that out as well

OUR 2011 FANTASY FOOTBALL DRAFT GUIDE

  • Scheduled for release in June 2011

  • Our Draft Guide analyzes 400+ players for their statistical performance for the 2011 season, based on schedule forecasts/impacts, and the impact other players on their roster will have, as well as historical trending

  • Our Draft Guide is an "ever-refreshing" e-guide, downloadable and savable...over & over. This is not like a stale magazine that went to print a month prior and by the time it hits store shelves is 2-3 months out of date...our 2011 Fantasy Football Draft Guide is updated constantly all season as players are injured, traded, released. One trade (like a Kevin Kolb or Carson Palmer) or one key season ending injury, will have several ripple effects upon teams and other players performance affected.

2011 TEAM FORECASTS

  • We plan to use our computer analysis in a new way this season, to predict team records/performance for the 2011 season...looking to find the sleeper teams for 2011

STATISTICAL WHIMS

  • Any developing trends we discover, or any unique player "splits" or dynamics that our computer discovers are basis for full length theory and long form story reporting

Thanks to all of our readers for a great NFL Draft period. Now it's on to real football, I hope....stay tuned!!
