Week-8 Fantasy Football Roster Ideas...

Fantasy Football roster moves, in no particular order...trying to stay away from the obvious:

-- If all Montario Hardesty can do against Seattle is 2.9 yards per carry on 33 carries, with no TDs...then we continue to not be impressed with Hardesty. We have said for weeks, that he looks terrible on tape. I haven't watched the Week-7 tape yet, but from what I saw live...terrible. Trade him if you can, before he gets stomped by San Fran next week.

-- Bernard Scott is a play this week versus Seattle with Cedric Benson missing the game. We have rated Scott with potential elite NFL RB ratings coming out of college...here's his chance. Andy Dalton vs. Seattle is a nice Aaron Rodgers fill-in this week.

-- Below-the-radar...watch out for Greg Little. He again led the Browns in targets, and has had several near-miss TDs. Little won't be a superstar with Colt McCoy, but could be useful for a PPR/Flex league. Little has 5.3 catches per game in his past 3 games, on 9.0 targets per game.

-- We keep banging the drum for the Houston Texans-Defense, and you may have missed any chance to cash in on them after they held the Titans to 7 points and with 2 picks of Hasselbeck. JAC-CLE-TB-BYE-JAC-CIN upcoming.

-- Eric Decker is now virtually useless for Fantasy Football with Tim Tebow at the helm. We have dealt him everywhere we could in the past two weeks, now all that's left is to cut him. Not his fault, but he's not going to get the pass looks he's had before...and he's not a #1 WR, he's a nice #2...but not going to beat the top CBs in the NFL on his own.

-- Mark Sanchez now has 5 of 7 games this season with 2+ passing TDs. Still very low yardage output, 5 of last 6 games with 201 yards passing or fewer.

-- We don't care if Kregg Lumpkin is named a starter Week-9, not interested

-- Tampa Bay is forced to pass more and more with their dinged up running game, so Mike Williams is a depressed value WR that we have been trying to acquire on the cheap. We are not huge Williams fans, but are fans of the fact that he is consistent a double-digit target and frequent red-zone target. In 2011, that has meant little...but a lot of near-miss Fantasy Football scoring.

-- We have no idea what Mike Shanahan will do for a RB in Week-8, whether Tim Hightower is hurt or not. We would want to bet on Roy Helu, but likely Shanahan will bring John Riggins out of retirement...or some other unforeseen scenario. Ryan Torain ran for 100+ yards in the Redskins prior game, which got him exactly 2 carries in this game.

-- We are not Darrius Heyward-Bey fans, but he is on a tear. We can't fault anyone for playing him, we're just not interested. You can have Michael Crabtree too.

-- I knew Todd Haley would not break his affinity for watching Thomas Jones get less than 3 yards per carry. Despite Jackie Battle being a work horse, Jones got the first carries of the game, Le'Ron McClain the first goal-line chance, and a CB also got a TD run...no sniff for Battle. Battle should have a couple more weeks of usefulness.

-- Antonio Brown goes back on the radar screen after some lost faith the last two weeks. Brown continues to show he is a favorite target of Roethlisberger, after Mike Wallace. Wallace now has 51 targets this season, Brown 48.

-- The Rams will start a mini-run of Fantasy Football respectability, facing NO-ARI-CLE-ARI. A healthy Sam Bradford, Brandon Lloyd and Danario Alexander should prosper more than they have to date.

-- You may have missed your window to deal Jordy Nelson. we love Jordy, but Aaron Rodgers is spreading the ball all over...no consistency of Fantasy Football results for Jordy, trade him while he has value.

-- If you're RB is facing the Rams, you are going to get huge Fantasy Football productivity. DeMarco Murray is the latest RB to absolutely shred the Rams in 2011.

-- Jermichael Finley scored a TD this week, you have to deal him if he is your TE-2. Finley only had two targets in this game. Not sure what is going on with Finley, but it is weird...and not consistent/productive for Fantasy Football.

-- I'll concede on Percy Harvin. I keep hearing how they need to protect him/keep him healthy, as to why they are not using him as much in the offense. Why is he returning kicks then? As the Vikings season comes apart, and his lack of use...we expect the Harvin mystery injuries to increase.

-- I wouldn't rush after Delone Carter this week. We like him, but it's a crowded scene at RB and the Colts face TEN-ATL coming up...and they have been decent against the run. Carter with a solid game in a blow-out against a weaker run-defense Saints team is not a huge feather in Carter's cap.

-- I would be dealing Fred Jackson if I could get the right value. WAS-NYJ-DAL-MIA-NYJ upcoming. Jackson will dip, and Ryan Fitzpatrick may really tail off.
